Buster and his new cast now have their sights set on debuting a new show at the Crystal Tower Theater in glamorous Redshore City. But with no connections, he and his singers must sneak into the Crystal Entertainment offices, run by the ruthless wolf mogul Jimmy Crystal, where the gang pitches the ridiculous idea of casting the lion rock legend Clay Calloway in their show. Buster must embark on a quest to find the now-isolated Clay and persuade him to return to the stage.
Review:
The first part was good and the second is more better. When the first trailer for “Sing 2” came out, I was surprised. They did not created for five years, but after five years the expectation is such … The story is interesting, the humor are not bad, well in general, well done, it’s worth looking at.
Even though this is a kids movie I went in with a level of excitement for Sing 2. My daughter & I enjoyed Sing and were looking forward to where the story would go. Though there were some cute moments & cool performances the story beats are pretty similar to what you’ve already seen in the first one. They’ve definitely doubled down on what worked and had no interest exploring beyond that. Fun, but pretty formulaic sums up this movie perfectly.
Critic reviews honestly didn’t have me expecting much, but I found my kid and even myself wanting to clap after each big-stage performance after another. Awesome singing, decent plot, but mainly just an entertaining performance couched inside a kids movie.
