After a botched time travel attempt land Adam Reed in 2022 he teams up with his younger self to complete his mission of saving the future.
I enjoyed this film quite a bit and that is mainly because of how impressed I was with the character of Adam Reed. The movie takes both older adam and younger through this story of making amends with relationships in their lives. It’s a really heartwarming emotional character story that’s great to see.
Ryan Reynolds plays the same character he has been for the last decade except this time his name is Adam Reed. Don’t get me wrong I think Reynolds is a talented actor but his range of characters is very narrow.
Walker Scobell plays the young adam and he does a really good job of making you buy into the fact that he is a younger Ryan Reynolds.
Mark Ruffalo, Jennifer Garner, Zoe Saldana all did great with what they were given.
The core issue I have with this film is the lack of development for most of the characters. This is a short movie which is nice and refreshing but it seems as though they set out to make a bigger movie than what they actually made.
There was a couple of spots where the CGI needed to be cleaned up especially involving some deageing they did.
I throughly enjoyed the action and was impressed with the choreography throughout. The plot was well paced and made sense throughout which is unusual for time travel films. The comedy was also great at definitely had me laughing out loud a few times.
Overall this is a fun sci-fi adventure that pulls on the heartstrings at times. It does have some issue with character development but the action as well as the comedy makes fore a fun movie.
